LGL Systems Acquisition Corp., sponsored by LGL Systems LLC, an affiliate of The LGL Group, Inc., completed its IPO in 2020 as a blank check company targeting the technology and cybersecurity sector. The vehicle merged with IronNet Cybersecurity, a collective defense network security firm founded by former NSA Director Keith Alexander, with the combined entity listing on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker IRNT. The de-SPAC transaction closed in August 2021. IronNet subsequently encountered severe financial pressure and filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy liquidation in September 2023, ceasing all operations shortly thereafter.
