Reinvent Technology Partners Z (RTPZ) was a special purpose acquisition company sponsored by Reinvent Capital, the SPAC vehicle led by technology executives Reid Hoffman, Mark Pincus, and Michael Thompson, and completed its IPO in 2021. On March 8, 2021, RTPZ announced a definitive merger agreement with Hippo Enterprises Inc., a technology-driven homeowners insurance and insurtech platform seeking to modernize the residential property insurance market. The transaction closed in August 2021, at which point RTPZ's status transitioned to closed as Hippo began trading as a public company.
