Xos, Inc.

NextGen Acquisition Corp (Nasdaq: NGAC), sponsored by NextGen Acquisition Holdings LLC and led by former Goldman Sachs partner George Mattson and private equity veteran Gregory Summe, completed its merger with Xos, Inc. in August 2021, bringing the Los Angeles-based electric commercial vehicle manufacturer to public markets. NGAC raised its IPO in 2020, targeting the transportation and clean-energy sector. Xos designs and manufactures battery-electric medium-duty trucks purpose-built for last-mile delivery fleets, competing in the rapidly expanding commercial EV space. The deal is now closed, with Xos trading under its own ticker following the combination.
