Tortoise Acquisition Corp. completed its IPO in June 2020 and announced the merger with Austin, Texas-based Hyliion Inc., a developer of electrified powertrain systems for Class 8 semi-trucks targeting the commercial transportation sector. The October 2020 8-K/A amendment was filed in connection with the closing of that business combination, after which the combined company began trading on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker HYLN.
