Electric Last Mile Solutions, Inc. completed its business combination with Forum Merger IV Corp (Nasdaq: FIII), a blank-check company sponsored by Forum Capital Advisors LLC, in June 2021, taking the commercial electric vehicle maker public through the SPAC route. Forum Merger IV conducted its initial public offering in 2020 and targeted the industrial and transportation sectors, ultimately merging with ELMS, which developed Class 1 electric delivery vans for the last-mile logistics market. The combined company traded under the ticker ELMS following the closing; the business subsequently filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy in February 2022 and wound down operations.
